As the favorite stone for ancient Greek and Roman architects, Marble
has become a cultural symbol of tradition and refined taste. Marble
is actually a crystallized limestone that is capable of taking a
high polish. Marble is considered one of the most decorative types
of stone with its color variations and veins that contribute to the
stone's unique appearance. Marble is great for achieving a very

Soapstone
Soapstone is very unique in that it is much softer than most natural
stones which can make it more susceptible to scratches. However,
unlike other natural stones, its soft nature allows scratches to be
buffed out without causing damage to the stones. Soapstone retains
heat much better than most natural stones which can make it warm to
the touch. Soapstone counter tops require applications of mineral or
Linseed oil to retain its deep and often dark coloring. With its
warmth and rich colors, Soapstone brings elegance to your home. |

Onyx
Onyx is quartz crystals fused together by nature into translucent
layers of
stone, revealing a rainbow of colors ranging from creamy white,
gold and amber to orange, red, brown, deep green, and gray.
Onyx is not a new
stone. It is actually millions of year old! A natural process of
heat and pressure creates a crystalline
stone rich in color and pattern that reaches well below the
surface to reveal a truly unparalleled inner warmth, depth and
opalescence. The natural beauty of Onyx is displayed in an alluring
glow by allowing lighting to shine through the translucent layers of
the stone. This sets Onyx apart from all other natural stones.

Travertine
Tavertine is one
of several natural stones that are used for paving patios and garden
paths. It is sometimes known as Travertine Limestone, sometimes as
Travertine Marble; these are the same stone, even though it is
neither Limestone nor Marble. The stone is characterized by pitted
holes and troughs in its surface. Although these troughs occur
naturally, they suggest to some eyes that considerable wear and tear
has occurred over many years. Some installers use a grout to fill
these holes, whereas others leave them open. Travertine can be
purchased "filled" or "unfilled." It can be effectively polished to
a smooth, shiny finish and comes in a variety of colors from gray to
coral-red.
